Looking for a place to taste delicious, budget-friendly food with an interesting park for your kids to hang out? Kumbakarna theme park is the go-to place.

November 1st long weekend I drove to the pilgrim place, Mantralaya, with my cousins. On the way, we visited Lepaksi Veerabhadra swamy temple in Anantapur district, Andhra Pradesh. The stone carvings and the blue sky makes it one of the best places for photoshoots. The temple is well maintained and clean. Temple has 3 hanging pillars which you cannot identify until we asked the priest. It has a huge Nandi carved out of a single block of stone.

The roads are good, the weather was good, the drive was fun but unlike other highways, there are very limited hotels on the Bangalore-Hyderabad highway.

On the way back to Bangalore from Mantralaya, we were looking for a restaurant for lunch. The google maps suggested Kumbakarna Theme Park Restaurant, Pennukonda, Anantpur. As we had no other restaurants in a long way, we had to stop by. The theme park is just 300 mts from the highway.

The theme park is well maintained and has a huge kumbakarna sculpture made out of cement. At least 150 people can fit into the tummy of this huge Kumbakarna. kids will love this place. The restaurant next to this huge sculpture serves delicious food. Just the aroma of the food makes you more hungry and mouthwatering. They serve a wide range of dishes in both veg and non-veg at a decent price. Every dish we ordered was extremely delicious and finger-licking. Let me not forget to mention my favorite chicken biryani was the best, perfectly cooked with the right amount of masala, rice texture and tender chicken.
